Journal 23 Tuesday 25th, Puri Bambu, Jimbaran

Last night we had a sing-along with some new friends in front of an Artist studio on Poppies Lane while passing tourists joined in and some locals from neighboring Java poured sweet homemade coconut wine into paper cups for us to sip while we crooned along in agonizing chorus.

Today, Morgan is hoping for Puri Bambu, her home away from home I where we started our journey.  A beautiful and comfortable Hotel.

I think she's understandably coming to the end of her 12-year-old traveling limit.  She needs to go home and cuddle up with her big friendly dog Roy and watch Sponge Bob or something.  That sounds go to me too!  So we returned to the very comfortable place we began our Bali travels from.

She was SO happy to be in the comforts of this familiar and safe setting, and I was feeling rather soothed myself, so we stayed an extra night.   My dear, travel weary child, rested up and swam in the pool all day long.

I'm feeling travel-lazy now, especially after two nights of feasting on fresh fisherman’s fare on the nearby beach at sunset.

Torn about how to spend our last few days.  We are both tired and we have much to absorb. is a part of me that is so DONE with the trials and tribulations of adventuring on the other side of the planet with a twelve year old and a backpack and little red motorcycle.  But unfortunately there is also that noisier part of me that is saying "you may not come back here again, SEE MORE~"!
